CAUTION: MY PRINCIPAL SENT THIS TO ALL OF THE SCHOOL FACULTY YESTERDAY. THIS IS THE FOURTH OCCURRENCE THAT I HAVE HEARD OF IN OUR AREA SINCE MAY 31ST. THIS IS IN OUR BACKYARDS THAT THESE THINGS ARE HAPPENING! THIS INCIDENT OCCURRED AT THE NEW OXFORD EXCHANGE SHOPPING CENTER THIS WEEK. WHAT A SHAME THAT WE CAN NOT EVEN SHOP IN OUR TOWN WITH PEACE OF MIND!

Please be careful at Hobby Lobby, I was out there last Wed. night, (planning for an employee’s retirement party) and my mind was totally on everything that I needed for the event…found out at the register that the floating candles were 80% off, so I dashed back for more. As I made my way across the store, I noticed that someone was following me…he came down my aisle…kept easing closer to me. I got my candles and kept looking at him, so he knew I was watching him. He spoke to me as I passed him in an eerie voice…gave him a “go to heck” look and kept moving. He fell in behind me and followed me almost back to the cashier, and then he turned off. He then tried to zip out the front doors, I watched him and he kept looking at me through both sets of exit doors. I reported it to the cashier and then talked to the manager…another girl about 19 was checking out behind me…she asked me if he was wearing khaki’s….I said, YES, she said he followed her around the store and offered her $500.00 to leave with him. This was a WELL DRESSED and attractive man….just creepy acting. He went out and got into what appeared to be a somewhat new looking WHITE Dodge Ram truck, there was a red 4X4 emblem on the back wheel bed of the truck. He moved his truck out closer to 1-20 and sat there,,,just waiting. A customer with his girlfriend asked, what had happened?… We shared our stories and he hopped in his truck …trying to get the guy’s tag number…about 4 store employees went out and were watching him…HE realized he was being watched so he started leaving the parking lot…at the intersection (light) he realized that he was being followed and ran the red light almost causing an accident. The gentleman did not get the guy's whole tag number, but the first part was 11…so it was from our Calhoun County. Thank God in heaven that I went back for the sale candles, otherwise, I may not have noticed that he was following me. We did call the police and gave a description. It shook me up ..then it made me MAD.
