Six Flags

Hi to all! We took DJ to Six Flags today. It was so much fun. We have pictures that will be up tomorrow, sorry... we took them with David's phone and the adapter is in the truck right now. We are too tired to go get it, our feet hurt, and we are just plain tired!

He had fun... he has very logical fears about everything and thinks things through way too much! He did do 3 roller coasters this year: the Wylie Coyote, Mine Train, and the American Scream Machine. He did NOT like the American Scream Machine! He tried to keep his head down and David had to hold his head up. That made me laugh and think about my first time on the ASM with my Uncle Bob. I begged him to do it and tried to back out when it was our turn to get on and he made me get on. I tried to duck at the same point DJ and rode the entire ride with my head held back by my Uncle Bob. I loved it after that... DJ said, "I did it. It is time for games like you said." Yes, we bargained with our child to get him to do this... it worked. :D

We enjoy this time with DJ when he is alone with us because we feel like sometimes with Zach as little as he is and not as self-sufficient, DJ doesn't "get" us. He is fine with that... he plays and reads and builds battlegrounds with Legos. He is VERY self-sufficient. I still like to have alone time with him. It is important for him.

I will post pictures tomorrow for all to see. He really had fun -- until the scream machine as he said!
