Long Time, No See????

Ok... I know it has been over a month since a post. It has been crazy here for the past month or so!! Let me catch you up real quick on the goings-on.

1. After the last post, I had lots of training for my new teaching position. It was great, but for those of you who are teachers, you understand that teachers are not still people and it is exhausting to sit and listen to trainers. It was informative and I loved it!!!

2. David took the boy to the beach the week before school started while I got my room ready. It was different without Thing 1, Thing 2, and Thing 3 here for a week. I did get alot done though!

3. That same week, our air conditioner went out. It is working a little bit now, but we have to have some MAJOR work done when it cools off. It is too hot for someone to work on it right now.

4. School started!! It is great! I have a wonderful administration and I work with a wonderful group of people -- grade level and school-wide. It is truly a family!!! DJ is doing great! He loves his teacher and adjusted so well. He is always excited about learning... he loves reading and math! He definitely takes after his Daddy with the math!

5. On July 23, both boys had check ups. DJ had his usual yearly check up. He was 48 lbs and 48 inches tall!! He didn't gain any weight, but he did he grow almost 3 inches in a year!!! Dr. Ray said he is doing great. David and I were concerned because he seems so skinny and I was reminded of how skinny and lanky all of the Fink children were at this age -- David was too from the pictures I have seen!
Zach had his 6 mth check up and was perfect too!! He was 17 lbs and 26 1/2 inches long. He i growing like a weed!! He is the happiest baby I have ever seen. A week or so ago, though, was rough... we have a tooth coming in and it really bothered him! His red hair and blue eyes are to die for!!!

6. This past week was busy as usual. Especially Tuesday! Someone broke into our truck Monday night/Tuesday morning. They took some cash, went through everything, and stole our portable DVD system! Dummies left the batter pack, charger, headphones, and case though!!!
